Before We Name It
What is reality before we name things? A journey in search of pure presence.
Before We Name It is a feature documentary exploring the nature of reality before it is shaped by language and concepts. What is our direct experience of reality, and how does language influence the way we perceive ourselves and the world?
Through conversations with musicians, dancers, philosophers, scientists, and other thinkers and practitioners, the film investigates different ways of knowing that reach beyond purely conceptual understanding. It also weaves in my own research, Moving Language, as one of the threads connecting these diverse perspectives.
The project is currently in the research and development phase, including background research, pre-interviews, the development of the narrative approach, and the search for collaborators and funding.
